The subtitle of Ginny’s Garden is “photos and reflections on the daily miracles in my garden.” I describe myself in my blogger profile as “a fledgling gardner. . . inexperienced and uneducated” and though it’s been almost three years since I wrote those words they are still true. Yes, I have learned much and I have three years of experience under my garden clogs. But there is so much more to experience and to learn. My blog is a diary of those things I learn and marvel at as the seasons come and go here in Eastern North Carolina. With Spring blooms that announce new life, summer blooms that bring butterflies, the warm colors of Fall foliage, the berries of Winter I follow the cycles of life. I try to preserve the moments with photos, though we all know it’s impossible to do.
I have favorite plants to appear often on the pages of my blog, but I’m always adding something new as well.
My winter project will be to add a page to my blog on how my garden has evolved since it’s beginning in 2003 – and how it has changed me.
“Connection with gardens, even small ones, even potted plants, can become windows to the inner life. The simple act of stopping and looking at the beauty around us can be prayer. ” – Patricia R. Barrett, The Sacred Garden
