Our North Carolina scuppernongs are sweet on the inside and tart on the outside. If you’ve never tasted one, you’ll be surprised at the shock to your mouth. Most first time tasters are not sure they like it. By the third or fourth bite—they are hooked. Many of our tobacco farms are being turned in to vineyards and the scuppernong is on the way back.
