Simplifying life

on

Autumn simplifies life so much. No weeding and the air is cooler. I’ve also left facebook and twitter so I can do more quality posting. I want to reconnect with those who read my blog. I liked it when I could answer all the questions and comment to all who came by.

I feel better already.

  1. I tried really hard to stay away from Facebook and am a horrible failure. I do however still promise to devote time and quality to my blog. I’m glad you are here to listen.

  3. Anna, I love your autumn porch. The purples, yellows and oranges look so happy there. I will miss your posts on Facebook very much but I understand. Simplicity is beautiful. I sure do agree with that! Big hugs to you, too. I enjoy your blog very much and it will be fun to stay connected here!

    2. Mary–as usual….I say one thing and do another but I could not predict my whole blog would be copied and a new crisis was going to visit my already overloaded year of surprises. But I can count on you to be there for me and that means the world to me. I look forward to seeing you here, your website, and facebook. I just love ya to pieces.

Blogging, Facebook, etc can take up a lot of time that’s for sure. I’ve cut way back on blogging in the last couple of months. There just isn’t enough time for everything.
Will this be your main blog now?

    1. Yes Catherine…this is my only blog. I’ve tried everything else in the world and have come home to roost. I won’t be doing any of the other social media stuff cause you have to wade through a bunch of junk to get anything worth knowing. I just don’t want to read that stuff anymore. I’d rather read the blog.

  5. Will miss you on FB. I use it mainly to add my blog posts for friends to read, as well as have friendship ‘connections’. I try not to spend a lot of time on it. Just check in with people occasionally. It would take up my life if I tried to keep up with everyone. It’s the same way w/Blotanical. I rarely pick posts or visit anyone through there. I do like to have my ‘faves’ available to check in with when I can, but I am trying not to make it a ‘necessity’ in my life. Too much time from ‘real living’ can be missed otherwise;-) Maybe you’ll go back to FB just to ‘connect’ w/hs friends, garden friends, etc…and keep your blog linked to it so people will know when you post. You don’t have to write messages on FB to have a FB page! The majority of my FB friends never use it. It’s just nice to know where they are in case the occasion arises where we’d like to talk. Take care, Anna;-)

    1. I actually find that it’s easier to keep up with folks by visiting their blogs and not on facebook. It’s just not for me. I want to slow way down. I want to get back to seeing what is going on with my blogging buddies. I also didn’t like viewing so much info in the feeds. There was a lot about politics that was just down right offensive. I want be in control of what I see—you can’t do that on FB.

  6. And I have only just set up a FB page for the blog. Using it to advertise posts, otherwise lowkey. Twitter is a road I am not going down!

Anna, I do read your blogs and know you spend a lot of time on them.
I don’t post or e-mail many messages as we have dial up and it seems like every time I write something, I get disconnected from the internet.
Please let me know if you come back to facebook.

    Anna,
Good for you! Lovely front sidewalk photo!

Wish I’d taken your advise. I picked up my first mac on Tuesday, trying to get it where I can use it like my pc.

Randy pretty exciting you got a Mac. Yea! Took me about 6 months to fully feel comfortable—but now I wouldn’t give it up for the world. So easy. And fast!!
