Monarch Butterfly on the Furr Balls Plant

Yesterday while I was working, I looked out and saw Monarchs dancing on my Furr Balls plants. I decided to show you too.

How exciting Anna! Great shots, too. I’ve had one visitor to my garden…and it was a delight. gail

  2. Such exquisite shots. Just when you think life is nothing but pain and suffering, you see this, and it reminds you once again that there is a God in Heaven and He is good.
Thank you so much. I’m glad I can reach out across the state line to your house and share some of what God shares with me. I get so caught up in these moments that I stand teary eyed.

  3. Beautiful shots of the Monarch butterfly Anna.
Thank you. Very nice to read you article about your tulip habit! Generous that you offered to buy for your customers. When I worked at a garden center, I could spend a lot of people’s money fast—-cause it’s easier to empty someone else’s pocketbook. It was rewarding to help those who didn’t know the plants as well and I bet your customer’s love you.

  4. That’s a female! Probably laying eggs. Keep a watch for the eggs to hatch. Out of my 7 cats, I have one chrysalis that I’ve located. One cat slipped off to a plant and I can’t find the chrysalis. The other five were still on the milkweed this morning.

Oh goodie! One of my Furr Balls fell down from the bad storm last night. Looks like it will last through butterfly season. It looks bad but I’m not moving it till the Monarch’s are done munching. I do hope the lady above was laying eggs. It’s so hard for me to see such tiny little things. I’ll just have to keep an eye out for the chrysalis.

Oh Anna, we can’t wait for our Monarchs to emerge from their Chrysalis’.
You have a lot of them! If they get loose in the house, it will be entertaining. So smart of you to watch them grow and share that with all of us.

Aren’t they beautiful? I believe this one is in Nectar Heaven. 🙂
For sure and I think I enjoy my food that much—at least it seems like I enjoy eating as much as Julia Child.
