FGG’s First Major Giveaway, Life In The Garden

Pink Dogwood

Flowergardengirl’s blog is having its first major giveaway. You’ll want to stay tuned every day between now and April 22nd as I reveal more clues about 1st and 2nd place prizes. That’s right, there are two.

Flowering Pink Dogwood

I’m nuts about the joy of gardening and love to see others feel the same. There are ways you can make your home or balcony be more enjoyable to you and your neighbors. One of the ways is of course landscaping. Right now the Pink dogwoods are blooming and not much else is the focus.

Small and large flowering shrubs and perennials will pick up the atmosphere when the dogwoods finish stealing the show. Or perhaps a plant of interest that has no blooms but the shape or foliage color add quality to the mix. Thinking about creating a garden for all seasons means you need to browse  blogs for ideas and see what others are doing.

I’m always looking to see how home owners have cleverly brought attention to a certain part of their lawn and gardens. Those that do it best don’t just concentrate on plant material.

Even though…….plant material always assures us that every season will have color! You’ll be wise if you consider other garden objects that bring different sorts of life to your garden. kwanzagift5

For my two giveaways, we’re going to concentrate on ‘Life in the Garden’. Right away you assume I’m going to be giving away a  birdbath. Like the one featured above, it will bring life to the garden. The birds will come and wash away the dust or drink deeply after a tasty morsel of bothersome bugs from your garden. We surely need their cheer and help.

I’m not giving away a birdbath although the sponsers, Teak Wicker and More , certainly have a few to offer. You might think we’re giving away patio furniture cause that eases, ‘Life in a Garden’. I am envious of those who can afford those attractive furniture pieces that cause you to wish you were an invited guest for the day.

The lawn and garden department is where I browsed recently while looking for just that particular such item that would convey a unique, ‘ Life in the Garden’ purpose. I hope you’ll join me again over the next couple of days. I’m going to show you how certain items other than plant material can liven up your home’s personality and we’re going to do it by talking about the two items that will be our guest of honor on April 22nd.

You’ll have the chance to sign up for the two mystery items on April 22nd and the winners will be announced on April 23.  Teak Wicker and More is donating the items and providing free shipping to the winners. Well, they provide free shipping to everyone. I’ll pass the winners names along to them and the item will arrive right at your door.

One of the items is about the size and similar shape of a —–well you just have to stay tuned. Browse their online catalog and see if you can guess. Hint, it’s in the lawn and garden department. It would look really good with Copper Top Cottage but I’m giving it to you.

Stay tuned…….More every day till you get to sign up on April 22!

What fun. You’ve even got a sponsor. My, haven’t you been busy?
Only for this one thing. They have some nice stuff. If they want to sponsor me all the time, I sure wouldn’t mind–would you? I’ve been contacted by people before that wanted to get something for nothing. This is the first time I’ve said yes.

Your dogwoods are lovely. I do miss them from my years living in the south. They aren’t reliably hardy here.

  3. Ok, sometime this afternoon I’ll be posting a picture of the 1st item in the two part give-away. I’m off to run some errands.

Hi Anna, very intriguing, your hints. I will check out their website to see if there is anything that catches my eye. I’ll bet there is. Your dogwoods look scrumptious!
You are going to want it! I don’t usually agree to this sort of adventure and am protective of you my viewers—but this was a good offer and fun for everyone.

And they are all over as far as the eye can see. This year’s display has been especially pretty.

Are you kidding me? How much fun is this? A L O T!
Tons! It’s tons of fun and I’m glad you have a chance to win. You’re going to love both first and second prize. Second prize is lots better than most second prize gifts. Sometime later today, I’ll put the post up about the first item.

You are going to love it! I am having fun just thinking about it being used in your garden. And it’s both pretty and unique.

How fun Anna. You leave me guessing…
I’ll reveal the first one sometime late today and then the second one late on Monday. I want to talk about each and how they bring life to a garden.

It’s a gift just to see your lovely pink dogwoods, Anna 🙂
Thank you so very much. They make me happy just looking at them too. I can see quite a few from my front porch.
