Rhododendrons Will Bloom Soon

The Rhodie blooms are swelling up and will be shouting spring in about 2 months. These belong to last year.

Sorry, I don’t know which ones they are as they belong to my neighbor.

Spring is coming, I promise. These pictures were taken last year out and around my neighborhood. I’m off to eat waffles for breakfast.

I can’t wait for ours to pop. We take pride in our Rhodies around these parts. I even have a local Rhodie specialty nursery in my neck of the woods!
Lucky you! My neighbor has all the Rhodies but not for long. I’m going to get some too. His are huge and look so pretty when they are in full bloom.

Rhodies are very popular here and when they bloom it’s beautiful. There is a park near here called Rhododendron Park, it’s full of them. I think ours are still a couple of months away from blooming too.

Next to Hydrangeas, Rhododendrons are a favorite. I have 3 and want more. Have tried to root them with no luck at all. These in your pictures are beautiful.

I’m really looking forward to it. I am not far from the Longleat Estate (Lord Bath) and they have masses every Spring.
I’ve never seen a whole bed of them. It must be the sweetest thing ever. I’m jealous. I want to see pictures of that.

I love rhododendrons and have had some pretty ones in former plantings. Did you know there now exists a true-BLUE Rhodie? http://tinyurl.com/atppa9 Of course, you do. 🙂 I’d love to have one.
Thanks for sharing that blue and I do love it! I have the perfect place for some Rhodes and it’s on my very long list of gotta haves for the Spring planting. I’m not about to buy a Rhode that isn’t in bloom. I don’t trust the tag.
