I love this. They look like spider plants in the lovely containers. I wonder what shade of green that is ?
I noticed those spider plants too and the nice contrast against the home. I had a hard time figuring out what color to call the home. It changed every time I looked at it.

Interesting how the front door is left of center. That’s what we say here about people who aren’t, ummm, quite right.
    Pretty cool looking though.
We say that too and we also say—half a bubble off plum. You know those little bubble levels…..also..off kilter…
I noticed the front door too. I was told it was so you couldn’t look straight through the home. They didn’t want to be like those old shotgun houses where you could shoot a bullet from the front to the back. They were thought of as less expensive homes. I was also told that an off-centered door allowed more porch space on one side for entertaining. These folks spent a lot of time on their porches as we do today.

I just adore old fashioned house with big front porches. When I was small my Grandmother had a porch all around her house, it was the greatest place to hang out and play especially on a warm rainy day.
Exactly! I spent most of the day on my back porch just swinging away and sneezing from my recent cold. At least I was swinging in comfort. It was so pretty today. Almost 70 degrees.
