Trying To Be Pretty

These coneflowers were trying to be pretty in spite of the extreme heat and drought they experienced this past summer. I told them they were doing a good job. These are some of the flowers of Blowing Rock, NC. You can see more on my sidebar.

Hi Anna, they most certainly are succeeding at looking beautiful! I am really loving the white ones lately too. And you sea of ageratums and other annuals were a joy to behold! Those cosmos knocked my socks off! Or well, uggs off. 🙂
Thank you and it is a lot of fun to hope I can get all this planted this season. Seems like I have high expectations.

Coneflowers are among my favorites — love the variety of color and that they are such magnets for bees and butterflies. 🙂
I watched the Monarch special on our public tv and I’m more determined than ever to plant a lot of butterfly magnet plants. They are going to be hungry when they pass this way and I’m going to be prepared.
