June Delugas Interiors, Inc of Clemmons, North Carolina is an environmentally friendly and eco-savvy business. On my search for elegant garden decor, I discovered a treasure trove of ideas from this very well known and talented designer June Delugas. Vintage chandeliers, fabrics, dishes, art, furniture, pillows, and other items showcased in these photos can be found in her cleverly decorated studio on Old Glory Road.
June has a quiet and confident demeanor and is well respected in the community. I’m going to give her a blank check one day and let her transform my home and porches in to that modern shabby chic with soft colors and a splash of the unexpected. That’s my style but June can do anything. While we were interviewing, there were at least 5 projects being coordinated.
June has been in the design business for 30 years. Helping her are Elizabeth Lovette, also 30 years experience, and their onsite artist Leigh Ann Alexander. Jennie Hess is the marketing manager.
Vintage chandeliers, silver candlesticks, and botanical prints are finding their way to the elegant garden shed. As are upholestered furniture pieces, pottery, and vintage mirrors which you’ll find throughout the studio. The wreath above the mantel is adorned with Blue Ridge Pottery™ made right here in NC. When possible, June uses recycled, reclaimed, gently used, eco-friendly and manufactured in NC in her designs.

The Santa Claus can be custom made with a favorite old coat, jewelry, grandma’s fur coat–think of the memories or special pieces you could incorporate.
As shown on the wreath, Blue Ridge Pottery is famous here in NC. It was once called the poor man’s pottery. Today it is much sought after.
Original art pieces laminated on recycled cardboard. The theme of blackbirds appropriate for spring 2011. Your shabby chic or sunroom would like very much to have this art.
On the top of everyone’s wish list would be a repurposed or reinvented china hutch and buffet. June’s on-sight artist hand painted this piece bringing it to the modern distressed and re-appreciated style.
Old and new vases are tucked high and low. Accent tables displaying vintage and unique lamps of all sizes are plentiful.
This is day 1 of the Elegant Garden Decor tour. Sunday, we’ll see a reproduction antique piece perfect for storing seeds, seed packets, and dried blooms. All–from June Delugas Interiors, Inc of Clemmons, NC.
